Got hit up last minute by Drew to help shoot Hopper arriving at the airport to see his family. Of course I show up in time to pull out my camera and press record. No prep time, no real consideration for the story, just shoot everything and hope there's enough to work with at the end...
But that's how documentary shooting goes sometimes: you have this idea of what you want to tell, but what happens isn't what you were envisioning. It's then where you simply have to accept that though you can't always tell the story you want to tell, you can tell the story that is. So here is Hopper's reunion with his wife and son, and a cadre of friends and co-workers.
